The rear subframe has to be different, given that it no longer has the bracket for the rear ARB welded to it.
However I believe @CSG Mike already confirmed the dimensions are the same?
Also I will be surprised if GR 86 has a different part number than 1st gens.

I don't remember anyone mentioning about the knuckle measurements though.

Tire fitment issues in the rear

Cause literally 2 shops have received their car so far. It takes time to evaluate these things and form a confident conclusion/recommendation for your customers. You don’t want to get that wrong and have a bunch of people buy expensive wheels that don’t fit because you didn’t vet the data you published as a tuning shop.

I know at least 4 shops, not to mention a dozen of individuals.

It's understandable that we can't get a recommendation immediately, but surprising that we don't even have any photos from people who already said they found issues.
So far the only photos of 2nd gen cars in this thread are from some random Japanese Instagram account,
and we don't even know if those photos are relevant to this discussion, or someone just didn't set up their car correctly.

Having photos would allows us to better understand what the problem is, and what to look out for if we want to try to figure out a solution ourselves.

I poked around on this guys IG page and in this post he replied saying he is using 18x9.5 +45 wheel with a 18m spacer up front and 10mm rear spacer making it +35 in the rear.

Here's another owner who installed 17x9 +45 with 255/40/17 tires square

Then the owner installed 10mm spacers up front because the tire was rubbing on the fender liner. DIdn't read anything about rubbing in the rear from his IG posts

That's @trippinbillies40 and he's already on this thread:

I'll try to take pics later today, but I think the "less rubbing" has been a self clearancing thing lol. +35's with 245's might actually work. I'm tempted to try it with another set of Enkeis and some 245/40/17 PS4S's for tooling around in the winter here and back up heavy rain autocross tires.
Still no pics though

where is that group ? edit found it, thanks

Edit : so it appears to fit exactly like 1st gen. +45 is too inward up front and you fiddle between 35 and 45 with 245-255 tires rear depending on how low...

Thanks, I'm in that group but haven't seen the photo!

@trippinbillies40, please help us understand which area of the fender liner that is.
Is it where the rear bumper meets the quarter, or where the rocker meets the quarter?
Have you tried to peel the fender liner and see what's behind it?

We can see the pin of the bumper like on the 1st gen.

Would be great to know the rear camber. Seems like nothing a few mm of height increase can't solve
