Knocking sound from AC?

Has anyone experienced some knocking noises coming from the Engine compartment when the AC is on and while gliding in neutral to slow down to a stop? I can feel a little bit of the knocking in the gear knob and brake pedal once or twice. Knocking is not constant. It's just once or twice similar to the old pipe in an old house when you turn the water on.

Knocking only occurs when:
1) AC on.
2) Gear in neutral (foot off the clutch).
3) Gliding and Slowing down.
4) Below 40 MPH.

Thanks!

Felt/heard something similar the other day. Turned AC off, it went away.

Didn't think much else of it after that.

These cars make weird noises.

I suggest you just leave it in gear until you are almost stopped.....

"Georgia Overdrive" could get you into trouble ...... if your brakes failed ......
