Within like 2 or 3 months after purchassing it, still less then 2500 miles, some asshole keyed mine while it was in a parking lot. Was over $700 to get it corrected.

Luckily I have good insurance so comprehensive claim was only $250 and since it was a not-moving not-at-fault claim, it didn't affect my rates either. My rates actually went down at my next renewal.

When my car was about a month old, large door ding from work parking lot. I park in the back alone and when I came out nobody was near me.

At another job while at work someone dragged a knife or razor across my trunk.

My neighbors at my new condo first put a dent in the passenger front fender right on the crease. Apparently this wasn't enough, shortly after it was dented the size of a baseball in the same spot, with paint scraped off, definitely had some force behind it. I made a spectacle over it and called the police. Haven't had a problem since. However I do now have a dashcam that responds to motion and shock.

These threads always remind me of a story.

I had an uncle Paul (now deceased) who was a hellraiser when he was a kid. He and his best friend Jeff came out of a burger joint to their car to find it had been defaced in some way (I can't remember how). Jeff started ranting that when he found out who did this to his car, he was going to kill him. There was a guy sitting in a pickup nearby with a girl, and he said, "I did it, motherfucker. What're you gonna do about it?"

Paul and Jeff were wiry guys, and to hear Paul tell it this guy was probably bigger than both of them put together. So the guy wasn't really expecting what happened next. Paul and Jeff pulled the guy out of the truck and beat the living shit out of him while his girlfriend screamed. At first the guy tried to fight back, but those two had been in a lot of fights in their lives and could take a punch.

Pretty soon they had him on the ground sobbing, "I didn't do it! I didn't do it!" The girl was also screaming, "Leave him alone! He didn't do it!" Jeff stopped kicking the guy and said, "Then why'd you say you did?"

"I was just being an asshole!"

So then Paul and Jeff suddenly felt friendly toward this guy. They picked him up, threw him in the back seat of the car and sped off, leaving the girl there continuing to scream in the parking lot. They took him to the hospital and dumped him out on the pavement in front of the emergency room. Then they went and got drunk.

Good times.

My cat walks all over my car in the middle of the night and leaves muddy paw prints everywhere.

He's 15lbs and I'm worried he's gonna dent the paper thin roof or hood lol.
