Why have so many users been banned? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I looked at the posting history of some banned users and have seen nothing objectionable that would cause them to be banned.

What's the most common reason for users to be banned? I'm thinking screwing people in the classified section (taking people's money but not delivering the goods) or being really really disruptive in the forums.

Just curious that's all.

Most posts that get people banned are usually deleted as well.

I think some of the audience behaved childish. It looks that a lot of the car owners are in the age range of 18-25 and they are not very mature. Maybe, this is a disadvantage of selling a low budget sports car. It is not only about the banned people. Even a serious audience who supported a lot the forum and in some cases even the creation of this car, they don't like to logon now or to post frequently. Maybe the latter gives a better view of the current situation.

I suspect that few people bother to read the forum rules, instead assuming that general netiquette will be adequate. I doubt that a user's forum contributions or good intentions are considered when adjudicating the rules. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/announcement.php?f=2

Rule 14 is pretty relevant for this thread!

15) BANNED MEMBERS are not open to discussion. Bans are always undertaken with justification and are not open to public discussion. Any threads/posts discussing bans will be removed.
