It's FR. I didn't buy full wets, so I had no choice but to use IMs. My lead decreased a lot since I couldn't really go all out without risking spinning. But in my race, it stopped raining and started drying up the last 10 minutes or less.

I think it will depend on the track. I did the same test at Tsukuba and was quicker in the GR though I think that is due to the hairpins. I think on a track with more flow like Suzuka I would be quicker in the BRZ.

I really should do some testing. I'm still trying to get used to the 1.13 physics still. Maybe later tonight, I'll try to do some time trials at Tsukuba with both.

I tried this out last night. The main thing I'd note is the track wetness changes seemed a lot different than LeMans. It stopped raining at 40 mins and never came back. A nice dry line formed quickly but the rest of the track stayed wet until the end. There were spots where straying from the line on slicks was a death sentence. Pretty realistic all in all. Don't like that 24h config pit exit.

I run easy race difficulty when I do any races where you start arbitrarily way behind. That sort of race format is a complete joke and I refuse to stress over catching a rabbit like that. Still, with the pit shenanigans the AI was doing I don't know how I could have lost. Ended up lapping everyone but 2nd place. I wasn't paying too much attention to exactly what they were doing but the rest of the top 5 seemed to be in and out of the pits like crazy. Not sure why.. the rain came once, went, and that was it

I'm not sure if the update eliminated seeing what the AI put on for tires, cuz I didn't see them changing. BUT it is possible that the AI chose to stick with slicks, then changed their minds and went to IMs. I know before the update, I saw one AI go in for slicks, then then next lap go in for IMs, and the lap after that go in for full wets. LOL.

I chose to stay out on IMs after it ended raining in my race. The track was drying up rather quickly, so I was constantly puddle hunting.

I see a lot of people talking about AI pit stop shenanigans for Spa. Personally, I haven't seen any of it.

Yeah I went full wets since there were a few heavy blobs on the radar and I wanted to see how they held up in the dry - car was doing great on gas so I knew I'd get the chance. Wets burn off pretty quick in dry.

They were getting pretty squirrely with only 1/3 wear, so with the big gap I had I decided to trade puddle hunting for tight-rope walking. I had an off when I put the outside rear a little too far off the dry line. Saved it but understeered off the track and couldn't get back on as it was like driving on oiled ice out in the runoff lol

I used a Focus GrB and got 3rd but it was only 4 seconds behind... I got spun out trying to pass the Vette that was in second though on like lap 28 so I think that car could do it. (Nerfed to 74% HP)

I first tried with the R32. I think I finished either 5th or 2nd. Can't remember. I then cheated and used the 787B. LOL. Considering it pays out 5k credits, I didn't care that I cheated.

Actually I take that back, he might not have been the second place guy because I sent him (and another guy) to the pits after even though it was clearly my fault for the accident. My recovery was AWESOME though, HA. Some angry driving after that LOL.

So... there's a glitch with the ticket I learned last night. After you pull the ticket and if you don't like what you get, at that spot, close the game and start again. Because it's before auto-save, so you can retry the ticket. I tried that trick & surprisingly it worked. Every single time, non-credit prize was different... BUT 9 out of 9 times, I got same damn credit (lowest credit). So if you have a high star ticket and wanna try your luck, you can try it.
