I’ll take it with a grain of salt until it/when Subaru makes an announcement. I will not be ok with them removing and cracking open the engine on my BRZ that is not even a year old with only 4,500 miles... so there will need to be other options such as a buyback, swap for a new car, etc.

Just going to save this and add it to the many threads that pop up from people that don't read before they post.


One clickbait blows it up and the rest run with it. They have a slow news period so they have to dig up something.

If real we will get a notice. If not we will hear nothing from Subaru and the whole thing will just go away. Of course now somebody will panic over every little noise they never noticed before.

But real question...there have been reports on here over the years of the rocker arms self destructing. Is that what this potential recall could be about?
