I heard from another local owner that he had melting issues with his tail as turn module, and Diode replaced it with an updated unit. I purchased my unit through Amazon over the winter and just got around to installing it. Is there a concern for the older units? If so, how can we go about getting it replaced with the updated unit?

The Tail-as-Turn™ is a well designed product, and extremely reliable

There is no risk of damage to your vehicle. This particular customer had placed resistors close to the module's driver, which caused it to fail prematurely.

We back all of our products with a solid 3 year limited warranty, so we will be here should you need any support

Thank you,
Nick C.

To prevent hyperflash, if you plan on doing LEDs up front in the turn signals, you'll still want a flasher.

What if you already have a flasher relay would it make it "
slower"?

It will be compatible with both LED and traditional incandescent bulbs

Yeah, I got a V2 as well and though after inspecting all the components I see how both functions (tail-as-turn and backup) are integrated now and, using the install instructions and video as a guide, I think I have the changes figured out. They'll want to update the video ASAP.

There's a lot of literalists out there and without every single step clearly indicated and reinforced and illustrated and demonstrated and reinforced again they simply won't get it, and likely jack something up "improvising" (the software tuning sub is kinda scary with how really bad some people are at following terse yet clear instructions, and that's with something that can totally bork their car).
