Or they could be announcing the end of the BRZ completely. Might as well put some negative speculation out there, and thus prepare for the worst so that any actual positive developments will be a pleasant surprise.

Is that actually an "official" channel? Looks like any other enthusiast one. Still can't even find it in YouTube.
This is the official channel and there is not one word of any new info.

EDIT: Found it! That is about as "official" as Best car magazine!

No no. One of these guys is sponsored officially by Subaru Japan. He is usually the central presenter of all of their events. Anyway, let's wait to see. It might not be anything important.

So, it looks that we'll not have anything new next weekend. Just a special edition presentation of the current model which will be called BRZ ST-C.

I'm giving Toyota till the end of the year to build me something, needs:

IL4
RWD
Manual
Sports Coupe
Not BMW or Subaru

If not I don't know what I'll buy, maybe a MX5 RF, but, once I do that's me for the next 3 to 5 years.

You will never see a non collaborative Toyota sports car again so you may as well start pricing the MX5.

Well, to be fair, he didn't say non-collaborative, he said not BMW or Subaru. That leaves a lot of collaboration open (although probably not what he really meant).

Well there latest joint venture announcement is sort of telling of their planned direction. Don't think it will include his required inline 4 though.

You could be onto something. Panasonic does produce some inline 4's already.

I think those are technically inline 1.5s. There are 4 of them though.

Do we say an inline 4 cylinder engine displacing 2 liters is an inline 0.5 then?

Yeah, I just want the badges to match the production.

And not a boxer, I've had a few, I'm not a fan, never again.

Unless I win the lottery, then I'll get a 22B.
