Now that I've put away the silver summer wheels and back on the gunmetal set for winter the car just looks odd.

The dumb thing is that only one wheel fits inside the trunk, the other 3 had to sit at the backseat folded down.

I would imagine it would be a while before a car that can easily get you from A to B autonomously could be told "OK follow them, but not too close and not too conspicuously. Make sure you stay out of site, but not so far out of sight I can't see what they are doing, oh and every once in a while parallel them on the next street over, but make sure we keep up".

In the end there are so many more "modes" cars are used in than just A to B I would think it will be a really long time before purely autonomous would be possible.

Then, after having that thought, I saw this article today that basically says even the ones that work, only work in good weather.

I think I'll keep my steering wheel for now thank you, maybe throwing in GMs advanced cruise control or similar for long trips.
Yeah people get too used to video games and other entertainment making complicated things look easy, but don't realize what they are seeing is a thin veneer meant to fake it. And that veneer costs astronomically large sums of time and effort. Basically, we still aren't as smart as we think we are. Google's R&D stuff is pretty cool though.

Bummer. When we were burgled in 2014 they took my jewelry box. There was nothing of real monetary value in it, just things like your knife, precious gifts worth nothing to anyone but me. One item in there was a tiny Buck knife my Dad gave me when I was 9 while backpacking to clean fish.

I hope it turns up.

That sucks.

Their website filter is actually quite comprehensive... if you can remember enough of the features of the knife you should hopefully be able to narrow it down.

Any chance at all you have a picture? I'm pretty familiar with kershaws..
