OBX Pulleys any good?

These seem like a fair price, anyone have any experience/issues with OBX Pulleys?

No experience with them, but if there is ANY part of the design in a pulley or the bearing that is flawed, it's going to show it's face quickly

You know when people say avoid eBay parts?

OBX is that.

Case in point: Friend bought headers and an intake manifold for his civic.
Horrible ass welds. (Bigger the glob better the job)
Both of the flanges were warped.
And IDK how this was even possible but the fkn holes for the bolts were ALL off.
Not even off in the same direction either. to get the things to even bolt on we needed to turn the bolt holes into slots.
Ports weren't even the right size. They were smaller than the factory head.

Keep in mind the stock pulleys are a certain size and weight for a reason. The crank pulley dampens a lot of the engine harmonics, so replacing it can lead to problems, and under driving the accessories isn’t a great idea on this platform either. Water pump has its hands full in hot climates as it is, and the alternator needs to feed the hungry hungry power steering motor.

All this for releasing 1-2hp? Worth it?

Just get legit brand ones or leave them alone. They aren't really useful other than bling.

Don't buy "performance" car parts off ebay.

Agreed. I have the $20 eBay master cylinder brace and it bothers me not knowing if it’s as strong as the part it is replicating.

Accessories off of Ebay is one thing, but I'd highly recommend staying far away from Ebay parts that replace engine bits.

I ran Perrin's pulley for a while with no issues, if you're looking for alternatives

It is better to use pulleys made by duralumin material (A-7075) and in general ones that underdrive the entire system (alternator, water pump, A/C compressor). If you are using multiple electric devices in city driving and under idle conditions such as air conditioner or heated seats or audio, then it is recommended to stay stock.
