2018 San Diego Auto Show! 86 (with TRD wheels, exhaust, lowering springs) and BRZ tS!

This weekend is the San Diego Autoshow and I dropped by hoping to see the new 86! I also took pictures of some other cars that I thought were cool and wanted to share.

There were a LOT of people all over the 86! (I wish that I grabbed a picture of its crowd) and in general, it was really cool this year to see so many affordable sports cars on display (Miata, 86, BRZ, Civic Type R) This autoshow happens every year but I can't remember ever being this excited for it like this!

I plan to go back either tomorrow or Monday to check out the cars that I missed!

If you're in the San Diego area, this is a great chance to check out / sit in / test drive some of today's hottest new cars! Personally, this was a great opportunity for myself to see check out the 86 with all of the TRD bits that I eventually want to add onto my own.

More info about the show!

This BRZ tS was so cool! I couldn't stop smiling when I first saw it!

I'm DEFINITELY getting that TRD exhaust now!

With the 18s coming to dealers in a couple weeks, it's disappointing to not seeing a 86 with this year's updates

You know at first when I seen the new Civic Type R I thought it was pretty hideous as did most people.
I thought there was no way I would warm up to that thing but now that I look at it more I am positive I will never like it.
I can't decide if it looks like it was designed by either a child or an an old woman trying to make what she thinks what a 13 yr old would find appealing.
If I could choose one word to describe it, that would be embarrassing.

If you look at the white Civic Type R, it literally looks like a Gundam!

I honestly feel like Honda literally looked at the trends of the tuning world and noticed that that the number 1 trend on tuner cars are obnoxious body kits such as RocketBunny and Liberty, so they decided to incorporate that into their Civic Type R. That's probably a more legit reason for their design aside from having a child drawing a race car on paper and unleashing their imagination

But I couldn't agree with you more. One word. Embarrassing.

I'm gonna take this a further step and say this Civic Type R almost looks like TJ Hunt's abomination of a BRZ. (Opinion-based)

That and the fact that cars are now continuing to be bloated with safety features.
