A good time for MERC to warm up some new replacement drivers for this change of watch.

Man, France was a great race to watch the timing charts lol. Red Bull had some excellent strategy to pick a few points out of Mercedes pockets (relative to starting order). Good race for McLaren today too.

Edit. And wtf is up with those trophies!?!?

That's a better move for Russell IMO. McLaren is looking real good this year, and playing second fiddle to Hamilton isn't the best situation. There's always Hamilton's seat when he retires if Merc is still any good.

I don't think McLaren is going to send Ricciardo away after the first year. I do hope he figures out that car soon though...

Did anyone catch part 1 of Anthony Davidson's bit on driving Lewis' Merc W12 F1 car? That part showing the mixing of chemicals and poring into a bag to make a foam seat reminds me of my days working with the Bridgestone Racing School. I can still smell that stuff and feel the heat it produced.

I feel like France and Austria were reverse of each other. France is usually meh while Austria (red bull ring) is usually exciting. But I felt France was pretty exciting while the Styrian GP was a snooze (I did actually fall asleep).

Im not sure I watched the same race ?

I was out of any good cell reception for most of the last 2 weeks so missed the French race,
I was also trying my best to keep my tent afloat much of that time.
Finally watched it Saturday night on my return.

Also watched the Austrian one on Sunday morning on a 15 minute delay(what a weird concept
to be viewing the race but following the live chats as well and knowing what will happen in a few laps …

I enjoyed the race; Familiarity came quickly as HAM had to complain about tires by lap 3!

I was rooting for Boy George to get some of those points as he was doing good in 8th place with the tool he had,
then a few pits visits and it was downhill for him, was doing it quite well for ¾ of a full race. Too bad. I have a
feeling he was getting an education in racing from following the old fart Alonso for much of that time.

The Ferraris did good with Sainz being consistent & Charlie storming back from the opening lap difficulties he created,
11 overtakes?

Norris did another steady race in a row, no drama there.
Yuki bring in some points for a wounded AT team.

I really like the camera work that followed HAM at the end of the race and he got out and made a walk around of his car
to check out the damage that may have cost him some pace & the race…

Great Race Management by #33. Max sure has matured from his first year.

No packing for the crews on this one , will we get to see a replay next week.

Great racing if you were not fixated on MERC or RB like the TV producers!

Trying to analyze what went wrong on Checo's pit stop. Figured they'd practice on a slower moving vehicle.

How many Red Bull drivers does it take to milk a cow?

4. One to milk it poorly, and the other three to talk about how much better they would be in his position.
