Those oil changes are only good at the dealership you bought the car at tho, wasn't that in Alberta? Or did you get a coupon/card for a national chain like mr lube or something?

Unless they are being paid for by Scion Canada but that would have to be written down and agreed upon for Taylor's to do them here

I'm at 3800Km and ready for my third oil change and my second tranny and rear diff change

Had Subaru's house brand of oil for previous oil changes and tested out Royal Purple on tranny and rear diff on last change with no real noticeable gains. Gonna give Amsoil a go!

Your looking at around $170 worth of oil for everything...

6 x 0w20
3 x Tranny Fluid
2 x Gear Oil

Why in the world do you need to change your oil so often?

Well if I went by mileage alone, my oil would never get changed! I'm just shy of 4000Km right now and have owned the car for over a year. 2 changes so far...

My oil changes right now are based on time I guess and not km. I usually change before storage and again at start up, so really I'm only changing twice a year. That's not too often in my books. I'd rather be on this side of the extreme than the opposite

I change twice a year as well. Before winter and after winter basically.

I am excited to do my gear fluid - see if that helps with my shifts into 5 (gets stuck sometimes)

Yeah I will update when I do my Amsoil swap right away.

I laughed when I saw Subaru's recommended oil change interval at 10,000Km. At my current rate, my oil would get changed ONCE every 2.5 years

which would be totally fine if your oil never went through temperature changes like -40 to +40 haha

I can't remember if anyone is winter driving, I'm definitely trying it. Im the kinda guy who buys a car and drives it everyday, everywhere so i figured I would try and winter proof my car a little. Where can I get a good set of steelies for 205/55/16? also i'm pretty sure I'm ordering rally armour flaps for november. I figured red would be to ballsy so I'm just gonna go black I think. anyone got any other winter protection plans? I heard word of oil pan heaters?

Just be very sure to warm up your car before taking it out and stealies can be found everywhere. one tip though is checking used Regina. I could have gotten 225/45/16 winter tires (Blizzacks) with rims last fall for 500 bucks
