I would really pass up this one and wait for the already said "power boost" one thats coming out in 2015.

I wouldn't really buy a computer now because I heard they have a lot more powerful CPUs planned for 2015…

haha..that's if that power boost comes.
hard to imagine that they would even give a significant power boost 2 years after they build an engine from scratch for this platform.

The fix is to replace the pump.... with the exact same one that chirps.

Your chirp will return. May take a week, a month, a year. But it'll come back.

Note that even the article you linked to states exactly this fact.

From your link (from last September, BTW):

The issue apparently affects any FR-S with a VIN# ending in 09026 or lower. Newer vehicles are not affected.

That's news to those of us with newer cars...that chirp. And it's likely that yours is going to chirp again eventually too.
