Does it replace triples though? Or were you set on up nearly flat?

I get about 170° field of view for sim racing (3 27" 1440p).

Really cool gift either way.

I think the major difference is that you'd have to replace say 3x1440p resolution with a single super ultrawide resolution of whatever it may be.

I honestly don't know if the hardware is more taxed running 3x1440p (assuming the game/program supports triple monitor output) or a single super ultrawide resolution.

Sure, but the curve doesn't reach as far so I wasn't sure if it worked as well where immersion and peripheral view were part of why one goes to triples.

Honestly, I rarely played most games on the three monitors, so this works great as far as I can tell.

Most games on three monitors did not handle the peripheral view very well since they used a "one camera" view and stretched the side monitors to make it look correct. What was really needed was a 3 camera view where if you turned your head left or right the view looked correct, not stretched.

Old version of MS Flight Sim handled this well by using separate windows for each monitor (if set properly).

The moderate curve on the LG gives that effect well, but I think it could be a little more curved.

Also, since I was using standard 1920x1080 monitors, this one has about the same side-to-side resolution as the three I was using before. 5760 vs 5120 now

This is a screen capture from AC: Valhalla from my new monitor. I placed arrows at the top about where a standard 16:9 monitor would be. I have very quickly adjusted to the additional viewing range.

The image is shrunk down to 1920 wide to save space. Also, this is a standard odd effect when you do a screen capture like this. The image does not look distorted in the game nearly as much as it does here.

Since I had three monitors now doing nothing I decided to hook up two of them as wingman for the new monitor (pic below). Reran the benchmark in AC: Valhalla and there was not drop in speed with the new monitors up but only as desktop monitors (Game only on the widescreen monitor).

I was going to try it on all three monitors (8,960 horizontal resolution) but Eyefinity doesn't allow you to adjust for vertical resolution. That means I would get a 8960x1080 virtual screen with cutoff along the bottom of the large monitor. Also, apparently Valhalla doesn't support that high a resolution.

For now, I'm going to leave it like this because I like having a desktop for other things when I'm gaming (discord, news, whatever). I'll need to get adjustable stands for the other two so I can match the tops and bottoms, plus I would like to be able to use one in portrait mode for documents.

If I wanted to use them all for gaming I would need to get a 1440 vertical height pair, but honestly, it isn't necessary.

I've always wanted to try a dual monitor set up, but I feel that small break up between screens would drive me insane.

for gaming, yes it's really only a single monitor or triple monitor setup.

for work, 2 monitors work great. 3 monitors really is overkill. too much head turning.

Yep, I'm happy with the results.

Cp2077 is especially noticeable. Not a huge difference in benchmark for DL2 but big difference in game.
First pic 1080ti (goodbye and thanks, you have served me well), second pic 6900xt.
First 2 pics cp2077, 3rd and 4th dl2.

It becomes pretty unnoticeable after a while, kind of like our noses. We can see it, our brain just decides to ignore it. If you get monitors with no edges it helps even more. I run two, one for gaming, one for discord ha!

Yea, I agree for gaming. 2 monitors (extended in the game) doesn't work.

Yea, I agree, I don't really notice it in most cases. Also, the drivers usually allow you to compensate for the bezel, so you can adjust where the bezel doesn't "exist" (the image stops on one monitor and starts on the next) or you can use it as a "window pane" where there is one continous image and you can't see behind the bezel.

Can anyone recommend a good video for a first time PC builder? Also good step by step to do a bios update on my mobo?

Finally upgrading/replacing my 6 year old PC that I bought from a friend lol
