Yup, but if you love noisy dinosaur burners, you would at least be able to take the generator out and mate it to a manual transmission, having the benefit of Mazda's R&D.

Then run it well beyond the design specs and purpose and complain bitterly that Mazda screwed it all up.

I guess it's not that surprising as they've been working on it for nearly 10 years:

https://www.caradvice.com.au/261593/...w-quick-drive/

The advantage being the compact size and smoothness. Although it won't be of much use to swap into other cars as it's only a single rotor.

A kart with closer to 100hp than 0 might get child protective services called :P

Actually though, I plan on buying two, mate them with a custom crankshaft, and put it in a track car.

Will there be duct tape involved? I feel like that project needs some duct tape.

You win the thread. I racked my brain yesterday for something funny and realistic. All that came out was "snowmobile?"

Don't snowmobiles already have rotary engines?

My Father (a shade tree mechanic, dirt track racer) said no car was any good until two things happened, something was duct taped and something was held on by a bent metal clothes hanger.

You know, now that I think of it, the rotary produces so little torque that you probably could get away with duct taping it to the chassis and have it not rip itself free.
