993 pages of random thoughts...I'd love a 993.

Any thoughts on steering wheel covers? My car's wheel is slippery so I wonder if it'd be worth getting a cover for it.

But probably the same kind of idea. Just the edge part that you hold onto. Maybe alcantara or something else with some more grip. |

Yeah I would try cleaning it first like humfrz said. Or maybe it's your hands then get some lotion. I don't like covers personally. I would rather have a replacement steering wheel or get it customized with alcantara from somewhere like SWEIDIT. I don't think alcantara would be good for my use though. Maybe one day when I retire the car and save it only for weekends and track days.

This. Clean your wheel, and then clean your smarmy jam hands and stop driving after eating poutine.
Maybe the 17 steering wheel material is different, but I've never found my 13 wheel to be in any way slick or slippery. Quote:

It gets pretty slippery and nasty if your palms sweat while driving. Yes I do have that problem. Got a pair of leather driving gloves and now the steering wheel is fine, if the inside of the gloves do get a bit damp. Alternatively I found winter glove liners to be effective, but a bit bulky and lacking in grip.
