Has anyone seen one yet? Still MIA in my neck of the woods. I think they only sold a few hundred in 2022, so...yeah.

The Z did pretty poorly in Road & Track's Performance Car of the Year award. Around the track it was slower than everything except for the WRX. Even slower than the FWD Elantra N. Oh, and it suffered suspension damage early in the test on a portion of the race track that no other vehicle had issue with.
Not a good look for a 400 hp RWD coupe.

They went in totally the wrong direction, more power but a lot more mass, and all of it on the front wheels.
Shoulda partnered up with Subaru and Toyota and dropped their V6 into a 2-seat version of the FT86! That woulda been kick-ass... |

Seen it a few times here in Toronto but I'm guessing no one winter drives them so nothing since like November

i'm not convinced that nissan knows how to build a competent sports car anymore. the gt-r was always bloated, but made up for it with hp and awd.

I remember one of the complaints of the Z32 was that it was a heavier grand tourer when compared to the older 280 and 240. Then the 350 came out and was actually a bit lighter and more nimble. In the later years of the 370, a common complaint I read was that it was too harsh and difficult to live with due to how aggressive the suspension was. Also too expensive for what it offered.
While I withhold any judgement until I drive one, reviews make it seem like the 400 went back to the Z32 sort-of luxury GT car with a dash of oomph formula. Perhaps in response to surveying people who actually bought 370s. |

i never tried a 370 because it was so close of a variant to the 350z. but the 350z was a dream car for a while until i sat in one for a test drive. it just felt cramped everywhere for my 6' 230 pound figure, which is odd considering the cars overall size for a 2-seater. it's like a reverse-tardis...
