I've found WRX at decent prices. The biggest thing is, they are readily available. I don't expect to see a GRC/CTR sitting in a lot very long. Not here in El Paso. If it's not soldiers buying them up with 25%APR after a deployment, it's the kids who have daddy's cartel money to blow.

I sold a WRX below invoice last week. That’s what it takes to sell them. They sit on the lot for at least a month and a half

Base model WRXs are under $30K right now including dealer handling fee. Premiums are under $35K. The cheapest ADM I have found on a GR Corolla is $5K (which I am betting by the time it arrives the dealer will ask me to pay more). The GR86 still has ADM at most dealerships so I am sure the GR Corolla will have ADM longer than they do.

Yes, WRXs are available all over the country a lot cheaper than a GR Corolla. You also can get 2.9% financing from Subaru through the end of January if you buy a base model. Very tempting.

Comparable? Maybe not. Better? Yea most likely, even if I have to through in a little more cash in the deal.

That looks GOOD! 18x9.5 wheels with 265 square set up. No rub.

Seriously making me rethink my choice of keeping the BRZ for life... Especially since a slightly more practical car would be handy...

It's really tough. I love my car for the same reasons. I'd like a 2nd car but I'm not sure at this point if it's worth it.

that's why i got the 4-door truck. it's theoretically got more people moving capacity. at least it did before i removed the rear seats for stuff storage.

I kind of enjoyed having a beater car in addition to the FRS. Not being worried about someone messing with it or running into it, or getting damaged by road debris was nice.

You don't really have snow/salt so that's a beater perk that doesn't apply.

Yeah that plus saving miles from the BRZ are reasons I would do it.

A while back I was considering maybe a Honda Fit, but that's not much more practical space-wise. Maybe something like a Mazda 3 hatch since it's a little bigger.
