Just for edification, but how much did taking out the track day insurance cost you? Is it a one time "just for today" policy, or a continuing policy you have for the days you track the car?

I have a HPDE weekend coming up. How did you get track day insurance? Buy at the track?

What are you getting to replace it? Do you get to reclaim the aftermarket parts, or did you get paid enough through insurance to replace everything?

@GTHachiRoku, I had the car insured for $30,850 which was the car's value plus the value of modifications. So as far as the mods go I only lost money on the labor cost.
@SirBrass, you can buy policies for a single event or several at once. My policy for a 2 day event cost around $220 with tax.

No I bought it beforehand online (and to be honest I don't know if anyone offers it at the track itself). I used Lockton Affinity Motorsports - they're endorsed by the PCA so that's good enough for me.
