Everything about them is gaudy as hell. Like they have leather belts/buckles in places, and the carbon fiber body-paneling is colored weave (which does look cool, but is still super gaudy).
Those cars are almost 100% built to order. Blame the gaudiness on the owners, not the car maker.

Who's assigning blame? Why blame?

Bugatti is one of the few white glove experiences left in the automotive industry. I'm not even kidding a Chiron delivery had a guy there who delivered the key box and wore white gloves.

Bugatti attention to detail is pretty far and above everyone else to the point they took a car back to rework the carbon weave to better match the lines of the car(something they took as constructive feedback and applied to all cars going forward)

Unfortunately as you mentioned shitty owner taste can result in ugly specs.
There is a cream/green carbon Chiron that exists which has a lovely overall spec. Most of his cars are speced with thought. Also a white on white chiron that an owner near where I live. I think it got sold to a rapper at one point.

Seriously impressive specs for this hypercar. Really, it looks more like an LMP car that was made road legal. But I struggle to get excited by it. Just more multi-million dollar unobtainium to be used as automotive jewellery by some of the richest douchebags around.
