I reached out wondering what ecu they were going to use, and it seems like a haltech 1500 is a likely candidate, full canbus.
Working on and likely candidate is not the same as exists.

Report back when it is an actual viable project.

KMiata/Kpower Industries just released a teaser of a K in a BRZ. They are supposed to have a kit coming out in 2021.

You have a few options:

Motec M150
Emtron KV8
Haltech Elite 2500

All of these support the OEM CAN bus and can be easily configured in the software to use the K series crank and cam triggers (or pretty much any other type).

Any reason not to include the haltech 1500?

The only one that has regularly worked and got all functions operating is the Motec. There is a thread on here somewhere with all the swap ECU's and what worked and didn't. If I find it I will link it. Doesn't mean it hasn't been done since last updated, but I have yet to hear any other fully functioning options. They are always missing some function like EPS, ABS/TC/ I do believe that the companies doing the swap with the K are using the M130, not the 150.

Unit 2 Fabrication is also working on a kit too, both of them using the stock gearbox vs the S2K gearbox of the Pure Automotive kit.
