Marines were still flying them when I was in. They were utterly badass just sitting there. I know they had their drawbacks but damn they were amazing to see in action.

They were big heavy brutes that saw more action than many of the more popular and glamorous aircraft (looking at you F-14).
I fueled a few of them over the years.
Not sure but they may still be in use in some countries (Japan? Turkey?)
