Picked the BRZ up from the dealer. It made it 2 blocks down the road before the CEL came on for more crap than when I dropped it off (P0018.) It now has everything from lean bank one, cam over advanced all the way to no response for the bank 2 oxygen sensor. Car is smoking and squeeling like crazy to boot. Of course they lock the gate right at 6pm for I couldn't limp it back and had to finish the drive home.

That’s really lame. Doesn’t sound like they test drive it after the repair.

At this point I am thinking of just buying something practical and cheap and waiting a few years and hoping the market dies down.
yea, tried that. i've been watching tacoma's since the 2016 new model. toyota trucks don't get cheap until they've rotted out to the point of no longer moving under their own power. but if it runs, it's $5k+.

they're saying the car market is going to stagnate in terms of new car selection, as microchip shortages are expected to run through 2022 in a best-case scenario, so things aren't likely to get better, ever...

I was reading through an owner's manual of a car I'm a little interested in and read this warning.

I thought it weird. The display is a feature that is not to be utilised?

I was going to ask what an expected accident is, but then realized we all know the answer already.

Had 2nd vaccine shot on Monday... damn, these 2 days sucked. The vaccine kicked my ass hard. Now, I'm good enough to do some forum mod work. Did I miss anything?

Given our standards I would say we have been pretty well behaved. There are some scorch marks on the carpet but nothing serious.

I am starting to come to this realization. Just going to have to bite the bullet and spend the money now.
