Might be good to find out sooner than later for plans-making.

I was personally really planning on doing Shukai already, so..

That Shukai thing looks cool, I've thought so since you originally told me about it and I looked at the pics from the previous years.

So cool that it's in Japan town too! I'm a sucker for walking around a Japan town and checking out all the cool stuff.

Since you're in SJ, Shukai is a far closer venue to attend. Do you plan on parking inside the show?

IMO Shukai's choices of cars/clubs are exquisite. Cars 1:1 exceeds those of other shows (minus exotics).

Nah can't park inside, they already closed registration except to select groups apparently.

What's the other venue supposed to be?

I didn't, but check out @MisterSheep instagram. He is the one who did it. No real close ups though.

I'll try to have a flyer up tonight to save the date at least now that there is a conflicting event. But it'll be in the (north) East Bay

I've helped organize something similar in the past in the form of a TSD rally. It's not really a scavenger hunt per se, but we've set it up where you have to stop at certain check points to stay within the specified time. Just so happens those check points are scenic vistas, points of interest, etc.

Sorta, but not quite. Cannon ball run was more of a race while a TSD (time speed distance) rally is more about consistency and accuracy. You are given an arrival time and you incur penalties for arriving too early or too late, which is why in certain check points, you can totally stop, kill some time and take a break if you are running early in order to arrive closer to the specified time.

Doesn't matter how good of a driver you are or how nice of a car you have. All of the stress is on the codriver giving directions and starting at the clock telling you to slow down or pick up the pace based on conditions, traffic, etc.

Is it more fun than a glitzy cannonball/gumball rally full of rich guys, fancy cars and late night parties? Not if you're a huge nerd like me lol

Knowing myself I'd be in last place from getting distracted to go grab a beer and some food

Wtf did the rain do to my car? http://imgur.com/a/K8foC

I just washed it 2 or 3 weeks ago so there wasn't that much dirt... Is it possible there was ash in the air from the fires and the rain brought it down?

Even the wheels got hella dirty and I haven't driven it since Sunday..
