New tC teaser - possibly FT-86?!?
So as it has been commonly speculated the FT-86 may debut as a Scion model. The best argument against this was the fact that the FT was going to be over the $20,000 price ceiling. However, TheCollegeDriver.com claims to have a series of teasers featuring the tC replacement. The tC is going to debut next week at the NY Auto Show.
Here is a high res shot of the tC replacement and when you compare it to the FT-86 concept, I at least see more than a passing resemblance... This steering wheel look familiar? Let the frenzy begin! |

Nope I dont see it, If it is where did the dove tail on the hood go? Or the vent on the fender arch? Unless.... ft86 is getting misbranded and way watered down for production....
Looks like a more Camry-fied tc to me |

Not even close. Looks like it'll be a squarer tC, which sucks, because the Fuse concept had a TON of potential. These ass hats will drive scion further into the ground, and it could have actually been a decent thing in the long term.

These are two of the other pics associated with the new tC. The fact that it is automatic is the first clue to me that this is NOT the FT86. Though the presence of that "fun button" or what I assume is stability management off is interesting.

I don't kno where that second picture came from. The new Scion will not be the ft86, its coming out too soon anyway and we'll probably never see a rwd scion from the factory.

What a joke! Look how high the fender/hood is on the TC. Not even on the same level of the FT!

This forum will turn out to be a ghost town if that is the new FT. Don't screw this up Toyota.

Good. I was worried of the possibility that the FT-86 will be badged as the next tC. At least we know the FT will be coming as a Toyota for sure.
