Agree with tom.brz

timing seems pretty aggressive if your on petrol, you would need high quality petrol to run 29 degrees full throttle.

Was trying around to find the ceiling - given that this is RON97 and I'm seeing about 2.5 degs FLKC on average the fuel quality must be rather OK, I was expecting it to knock more at this point.

Thanks!

Hey all,

First time poster after bolting on a set of Tomei UEL and Q300 to my BRZ MY18. Automatic transmisson

Was wondering if anyone can take a look at my logs, pretty confused if anything looks out of order, as I'm just going off Wayne's website, with his 89/98 default tune Stg2 UEL. Cheers all

https://datazap.me/u/c14c14/log-1633...g=1&data=1-7-9

Using Garb aussie P98, stock air box, car has done 300kms since flash

could be better but not so bad for a OTS tune
try maybe his rich +2% tune maybe you ll have a better open loop

Thanks for the insight mate, I'll see if flashing his rich tune helps a bit. Is there a min period I must wait before logging (another 300km?)

Is the FLKC in these logs fuel quality related? Gets up to -1.48 at times. Am i overthinking?

Needs more km. Specifically more light throttle 2800-4800. 6AT doesn't really encourage that out of the box.

I've got a 2020 manual trans running your v160 Stg1 91 Lean-4%.

I see that you're up to v167. What does that get me?

Should I start back at the v167 Default?

Thanks for the prompt reply Wayno. I'll stick with the defult tune and put some more kms on it, what do you recommend I do with the AT light throttle, just not gun it at lights at much

This seems odd to me as that is exactly the same amount of airflow as the FRS did when it was completely stock. Throttle is opening all the way. What are others getting for airflow with standard intake and exhaust modifications?

Yes I am sorry I haven't setup datazap yet.
I'm getting 150 g/sec with a STI air filter, a bored factory throttle body, +'17 factory upgraded header and the STI performance (axleback) exhaust. Everything else is standard. MAF is scaled within a few % at idle, cruise and WOT.

Not a valuable reference, it also depends on lambda scaling, sensors tolerance and quite a few of engine load compensations against temperature and pressure
Any NA will reach between 140 and 155 g/sec of maf, doesn t mean that the higher one is the most powerfull one, and power then also depends on fuel and octane

Those kinds of comparations have a sense for your personal car only, and you still need identical ambient values for it to have a sense.. to see if there is an improvement with mods you Did, but you can t compare to other cars

In my personal experience the tune started with ~140g/sec and after adding different parts noticed the ECU to add constantly fuel in high rev ranges. Meaning that there was more air available and the ECU was adjusting fuel to keep the AFR in same ratio. After a MAF re-scaling the mass airflow parameter reached 150g/sec (under similar ambient conditions) and ECU fuel correction went back to normal. I agree that overall power output depends on other parameters too like AFR, total ignition timing and other engine tolerances as you said. However, I believe that you can have an approximate picture just with logging parameters. Otherwise, we would not be able to have remote tuning and we would need to tune always using a dyno

i didn't say that logging parameters aren't valuable
but that you can't really compare them from car to car because there are many variables
