I'm a member of another group where several key members passed away. Login and renewal information were lost. While some members tried to fix things another member set up a Facebook page. For a time that's all we had. Eventually things were restored. If this is going to be an ongoing problem perhaps we should do the same and set up an emergency “Private” Facebook group. That way when things disappear we can at least communicate about what is happening.

There's already a reddit page if the site really goes down. I think it's r/ft86. The problem is all the old posts from here aren't there and reddit is laid out more for entertaining oneself by scrolling than looking up useful information.

Reddit also can be marred with spicy admins/users that may not appreciate the banter that goes on here. With a Discord channel we can create separate rooms for different topics/activities. For example, a music room, the Gran Turismo room for those who are looking for races, and a general questions room. Plus it can be accessed from a variety of platforms such as phones, consoles, pc.

Not sure how long info is kept on Discord, which is the biggest thing we would lose if this site goes down. I've never ventured to the other forum so I don't know how much info they contain in terms of troubleshooting advice.

Except for those of us who refuse to use facebook.
