Interior Expectations
With so many threads discussing the exterior looks and designs, etc. i thought we might as well make a thread for the interior! What are your expectations/hopes for the interior?
Simply put, I'm an audiophile so i humbly hope toyota puts a premium system in the car. Leather seats would be nice, heated. Navigation too...although i think Toyota will probably put their entune system in it as well as a backup camera since the NHTSA is going to make them mandatory potentially anyway. Simply put i hope for something on say the 370Z's level of interior in terms of quality and comfortability. But bare bones - nav, leather seats, premium sound and im a content camper. I'd say 99% of the people here will have an opinion opposite to yours.
This thread will be good. I don't really care as long as it doesn't make me numb to sit in on long trips. |

I'm looking for
1. Soft touch. 2. iPod connect. 3. Gauges that are about readability, not fashion (Mustang, I'm looking at you). That's not asking too much, right? |

Scratch all of that. There is one interior feature that'll leave me not buying the car.
Forward tilted 'safety' headrests. I like to drive in the correct driving position, with a near vertical backrest. Those new safety headrests make it literally impossible for me to sit without having a crooked neck. That's because they are angled forward to be safe for the idiots driving with a gangsta lean. I literally had to sell my Subaru Impreza over this issue. It was impossible to sit in without my neck cramping up after 15 minutes. I'm never again buying a car that has this issue. Either the headrests need to be angled right, or be two-way adjustable. |

I thought about it, but was too annoyed with Subaru at the time. Plus, after one year of ownership (I thought I'd get used to the seats), I sold it for $500 less than I bought it.
So you know the headrest issue I'm talking about? |

interior wise I don't really care cuz once the warranty is done most of them will be on the forsale forum, but I hope on the mid to base model will get a cloth mix with nylon & microfiber seats, I'll be happy if we get a MR2 spyder or celica GTS style seats.
zippers or non zippers its ok with me I dont think will see a LFA type digital cluster if this will be a below $30K maybe the G's spec "if" FYI: AE86 kouki in Japan had the digital cluster |

Some of Subie owner had same problem, so you're not the only one. For me, when I got on the track and raced, it really was annoying. For DD, I kinda lean my seat back, so I didn't have too much of problem.

I hope Toyota puts in a cheap stereo, but puts quality in everything else that matters, such as seats, nice fabrics (no leather), and a great gauge cluster. Most people will either not car about the radio, or will want to upgrade to a high end system. Seat are crucial, but replaceable. The gauges need to be easy to read, plus it helps if they look cool!

I would def like a nice sound system with a sub at least as an option, doesnt need to be a big sub just something with a little bump. Simple seats, dont really care for leather or anything crazy, power windows and locks for sure, nav/dvd (or just add my own)... Thats all i can think of for now

As long as it has a clutch pedal, a shifter, a seat, and a steering device of some kind I'm happy.
