Yeah I was waiting at the light just before this intersection and saw the damn gangbangers flying down highway 4 exit. Just some crazy shit. I stayed a little bit and made sure people were calling 911. Let me just say that 12 police cars showed up and 2 firetrucks as well as 6 ambulances.

Actually I was surprised how cheap it actually was! Cost me almost that just to fly to Calgary I bet. Since it would be even cheaper if I booked well in advance and actually shopped around a bit it may be worth considering a 3 day weekend trip in the spring.

So, I completely understand not drinking. Personally, I took a month off once because I realized I needed to grab control of my drinking, and now, for multiple reasons, the most immediate of which being time limitations and that this is a small town and I'm about to start teaching, I don't drink much anymore.

I have friends that have just up and quit, and ones that never really did in the first place. I also have a few recovered friends, and I am wondering which of these categories you fit into.

Clearly, if it makes you uncomfortable you can just lie or ignore this, and I don't mean to make you uncomfortable. I only ask because I have found my recovered friend to be some of the wisest, non-judgmental, and interesting people I have had the fortune to befriend.

Also, the rehab/AA classes for court order are all conmbined here, so narcotics/alcholics/etc get put in the same meetings. I've spoken to some that weren't there for alcohol reasons, and they say alcoholics have it the worst. A lot of people don't know what those withdrawals are like. Seizures and stuff.
