Try starting out on a very steep hill, you'll experience it quite a bit.

My AIRAID intake should be coming in within the next few days and now I am hesitant to install it over the weekend.
Reading back on the development thread for this intake, there was good consideration on the MAF location. Also, the AFR readings layered the stock intake AFR well also. I would think AIRAID did not experience any of the MAF issues before they went to mass fabrication. This is really puzzling. Having said that there is a 30day money back guarantee so its pretty straightforward to go on from there. |

All intakes are going to give an issue.
Run 2(Red) - Stock Run 12(Blue) - Tune Only (ECUTek) Run 19(Green) - Tune w/ Catback Exhaust (Perrin) Run 27(Purple) - Tune w/ Catback Exhaust & Intake (Perrin/Injen) http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2399592 BTW, my post did not have a vendor violation. I'm suggesting a vendor, I am not a vendor myself. So again; All intakes are going to give an issue. If you want the real solution you need to hit up The Shop, so far their tune is the only one I came across that gains good power, and has no bog with the intakes they have uses the far. http://www.theshopct.com 203-847-5791 - Ask for Jimmy and let him know you saw the post on FT86club.com Last edited by t14abrunson; 09-04-2012 at 03:41 PM. The bog isn't related to the tune, it's related to the intake. I get the same bog with a stock tune. |

We have already offered you to send it back, so we can check it out and you refuse to do so. You keep attempting to blame this issue on the Intake, even through it's not the cause of it. Thanks, David |

Well goodness, if only I wasn't color blind, maybe these charts would be helpful...

1) My car ran perfect prior to YOUR intake. Never had a bog or single issue. Regardless of what tune or mod I threw on. 2) I added YOUR intake while on the e85 tune. Bogging. 3) I swapped back to stock intake on the e85 tune. No Issues. 4) I swapped back to YOUR intake and changed back to the stock tune. Bogging. 5) I swapped to Viscontis 1.02 tune while on YOUR intake. Bogging. So to recap: Tune + Stock Intake = Fine Stock Tune + Stock Intake = Fine Tune + AIRAID Intake = Problems Stock Tune + AIRAID Intake = Problems Do you see a common denominator in that scenario? The problems are there and VERY real. In case you missed my prior post. Here's a recap: 1st gear take off, violent bog, 60-75% throttle: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tH8QIea5h_Y"]2012 09 02 11 25 36 - YouTube[/ame] Fresh shift bog, WOT, no power: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uzi6OafbICw"]2012 09 02 11 26 36 - YouTube[/ame] Shift to 2nd bog, WOT, jerking: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=214gWCgfqhQ"]2012 09 02 11 27 51 - YouTube[/ame] So tell me, is this normal STOCK TUNE behavior that the car should exhibit? Don't tell me where my problems lie. I'm not stupid. And I'm not accepting your offer unless I can get a guarantee from @AJUSA.com that I'll be eligible for a FULL REFUND after you spend a couple weeks shipping, examining, and shipping again....should the problem still be there. And if you're so sure, explain to me why YOUR BOSS sent Visctoni a free intake to try and fix the problem? |

Woah just checked out the bogging videos and that is terrible. As I said in the airaid feedback thread mine does not bog at all, yes the revs don't pick up as fast as the stock intake but there is no power hesitation or "flat spots" of any kind. I did a bunch of city drivinga, the 5 mph test and around here there are hills everywhere but I cannot rep this bogging issue at all. I've logged about 2 hours worth of driving now on the intake as well and no issues.

Could it not be your air sensor and the way you are installing it into the Airraid intake is causing the problem?
