SubieBuis BRZ Adventure

Most recent update:
Went to the NASA Fall Finale HPDE at Summit Point. We ran on the main course. It was my second time there, first time I went, the car was all stock except the exhaust, pads, and brake fluid. This time around I had my coilovers, wheels, and tires. I did find I was able to run a lot faster than before, although I left the car in VSC Sport mode. Maybe next time I'll grow a pair and turn everything off lol

Summary
Hey everyone, figured I should start a journal. This is my third Subaru. I've had a few other cars as well since I've started driving. I'm an ASE certified automotive technician working full time at a Lexus dealer. I love cars and love playing with them, its pretty much all I do every day lol. So here is a summary of my cars and my BRZ

My first car was my moms old 1995 Lexus ES300.. nothing to be excited about..
Car number two, was my 1995 240sx. I worked hard and bought it straight up myself my junior year of high school. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of this car.
Car three was my first Subaru, a 2006 WRX limited that I bought brand new out of high school, my father helped me out as a graduation gift but I still had to work throughout college to pay for it. It was stage two with a TiTek catless down pipe with a Blitz NurSpec catback and sti tmic. I made it cool with some megan racing coilovers and rota wheels. I really miss this car, it was my first true obsession.

Car four was a mistake, I got rid of my WRX for a 2005 BMW 330ci ZHP coupe. It was a great car but I just couldn't fall in love with it. So I got rid of it for my second Subaru. All I ended up doing was basic maintenance, but its okay, when I sold it a year after ownership I didn't loose too much.

Car five was my 2012 STI. I love this car but my income situation had changed and I just couldn't afford to keep it anymore. Maybe later I can get another one! She was Cobb stage two protuned at MachV by Dan. It made 280 whp and 344 wtq. Invidia Catless down pipe, Greddy EVO3 cat back, K&N Short intake, Moroso Dual catch cans, various bushings and inserts, RCE front and rear adjustable sway bars. It was a blast to drive and I do miss that power (all that torque) some times, but it did get me in some trouble a couple times lol.

Now my 3rd Subaru, my 2014 SWP BRZ limited. The car was purchased in June of 2014 and was one of the last SWPs around. I love this car, her name is Leona. Im thinking this will be a car that I will keep for a long time.

I had just gone to summit point for my very first track event (7/24 on Summit Point Main) and it was amazing. I loved the way the car handled out of the box and it shows so much potential. When my instructor was driving it, he seemed to love its balance and was excited to drive one since he hasnt had the chance to take one around the track yet. With the motul fluid and PMU brake pads, it was solid all day.

Here is my current mod list and here is a link to my dyno tune session at MachV

got around to throwing the rce t2s on today. got height set pretty close and alignment needs to be adjusted but I ran out of time. Before the install, the height was around 26ish front and 26.5ish rear. Height is now around 25 inches top of the fender to the floor in the front and rear is 25.25ish from fender to the floor. My front camber is kind of wonky right now, I need to get with RCE.. I think I messed up my camber adjustment tool.. but front camber -3 drivers side and -3.5 pass side, rear camber fell in around -1.9 to -2.0. toe was set to 0 all around. First impressions of ride quality.. excellent, soaks up bumps just like the stock set up. The bigger sharp bumps are still a little harsh but expected. The added camber really feels good. I havent driven it too hard yet but turn in is much sharper and all around seems great!

My friend caught some nice pics while we were at Summit Point for the NASA Fall Finale. Car felt great, ran well all day. I really do need to get an oil cooler though, temps wayyy to high even though it was a fairly cool weekend. We ran on the main course. It was my second time there The first time I went, the car was all stock except the exhaust, pads, and brake fluid. This time around I had my coilovers, wheels, and tires. I did find I was able to run a lot faster than before, although I left the car in VSC Sport mode. Maybe next time I'll grow a pair and turn everything off lol. Oddly enough, I met up with some old friends who I had grown up with and we all have the Subie bug. Sadly I dont have my STI anymore but Im still part of the family kinda lol.
