Great stuff..
I am wondering if they had to custom made the sandwich block for the oil cooler hoses given the BRZ has a "cup" for the oil filter. For sure this will be on my buying list when its launched! |

Ok...I dont think it sits in front of the radiator...I believe it sits to the side of it. It's a 10 row cooler and the block spacer is standard so its connections are standard. Thats all I got. I speak it better than I read it. If anyone is better at this than I please do correct me.

I do believe it would lower the temp. by about 14 degrees fahrenheit not by 46 or your oil would never reach operating temperature. The formula you used doesn't apply in this case - no need to add the 32.

8°c is 46.4°F when you are talking straight ambient temp. When you are talking about a relative change, in this case, lowering the temps by 8°c, then jpit is correct.
This system will lower oil temps by 8°c or 8*(9/5)=14.4°F. Lowering it 46.4°F would not only kick it out of the efficient range for the engine, but also be completely impractical. |

My bad on the numbers conversion...It would be 8c x 1.8 = 14.4F which is how much it would lower the temps by.
Regradless I am interested living here in Arizona. Our cars are brutalized by the heat.

anyone know specifics on the thread pitch, etc on the sandwich plate? I'm not really interested in an adapter that doesn't include a thermostat. I'd like to use their spacer, but will go another way unless they release a tstat.
