Fender brace install help
It seemed pretty simple, however the 3rd point has me stuck. I can’t seem to find a solution to bolt the 3rd point down, everything is covered. Any ideas?

Drill a hole for it.
Also, don't know how to say this but... fender braces are a scam.

The only claims comes from the company that sells them. Use your own logic and look, what exactly is it bracing?

it is bracing the front upper rail to the A-pillar, it makes complete sense that it works and what it does.

I'm new to this platform and I am unfamiliar with the specific flex areas of the ft86 chassis, but that brace appears parrot existing structure without introducing any new triangulation and relies on a couple small bolts on one surface. Without plating the inner and outer surfaces, sleeving the bolts to avoid crushing the structure, and through-bolting the brace to the structure, I do not see how that brace can offer more than placebo levels of reinforcement.
In the Fox Mustang community it was common to fully seam weld the chassis and add plates in key strategic areas to increase stiffness. If I wanted to stiffen the upper rail/a-pillar that's how I'd start. (Fox Mustangs are wet noodles compared to these cars, so... yeah). |

These helped on vehicles from 90's and earlier. Where you could visibly see the deflection in the front shock towers and stampings. They're pretty useless on modern cars. You can categorize them with strut bars.

Don't strut tower braces come stock a lot of modern sportier cars though?

TBH, sometimes it's just a ricey dressing like faux carbon, diffuser garnishes, fake exhaust tips and fake vents. |

Guess google could not find anything to back up your claims. Because it's a scam.

Not scientific, but when I put them on my 04 WRX you could feel them when pushing the car. I have a few turns near my house that I can push the car before and after installs. Now could be butt dyno, but I am very skeptical of things as well. I would say they might not be worth it for DD, but I think every little bit helps. Plus an 04 WRX chassis is not as stiff as a BRZ. Money vs benefit is always a subjective thing.
