Great question!

I don't think it's porcelain or any other hard material. I'm assuming it's typical smooth, white plastic (I don't know which material would be used for this).

Sort of like you get in an average, decent hotel.

I've seen other areas in the unit where it's pretty obvious the paint job was rushed. So it's not too surprising that this is a thing.

They don't hurt to walk on or feel while showering, but it's super uncomfortable.

Anyone have any ideas of how I could maybe remove them? The obvious thing is maybe just getting sandpaper and maybe sanding them down but the things are small enough that sandpaper might be overkill.
Maybe it is just an anti slip coating. Or you could consider it as such -

If they bug you and it was overspray from a water based paint, they sell water based paint remover at the hardware store.

If it's porcelain (or you aren't sure) definitely do not sand it!

What @humfrz says first.

After that, I would try a mild abrasive, like Bartender's Friend. Just be careful because it may be slick afterwards.

You could also try goo-gone but it has a horrible odor and can eat through some plastics or make them gummy so you need to test first.

Lol it basically is though! Although surprisingly even though there's no other obvious anti-slip coating, it's not a very slippery tub.

Yeah they're kind of bugging me but I can probably get used to them.

Now, THAT brings to mind a back in the day story (just part of this story - ).

Back in California, after I gave up dirt bike riding (I wasn't taking the spills to good anymore) me and my buddies took up 4 wheeling rallying. We ventured over to Jackson, CA on a Saturday and spent Saturday night at an old Jackson hotel. The kind of hotel with rooms up over the saloon with one common shared bath room.

We had a 0530 start time on Sunday morning, so I went down to the bathroom to take a shower about 0430 that morning. I had just stepped into the shower, behind a plastic shower curtain, when I realized that the floor of the shower was slimy. I thought, oh well, I'll shower and wash my feet last on the way out.

I was finished showering and slid the shower curtain back, and there sat on the toilet, about 3 feet from the shower, was an ugly woman .... douching. She asked me if I was "interested"?

I really don't know what was worse, being heavily hung over, being in a slimy shower or looking at that disgusting woman.

Apparently my parents saw this today. Seems like a good reenactment...

https://nbc-2.com/news/state/2021/04...each-air-show/

Also there were a bunch of planes that landed at the same place they took off.

didn't sound like a very healthy motor at all..

everyone says "it's so great there's no injuries"

but no one seems to account for the beating that pilots going to take later on from his crew for losing a plane like that to the ocean.

i saw this at a flea market, and had to get it. thought first of my grandfather, but then of humfrz, who likely used at least one of these diagrams at one time...

it's thinner than a typical book, most makes are covered in just a few pages...
