Pre-release it was 197, but when it came to market in the U.S. it was definitely rated at 200hp here.

I'd be very interested in learning if this powertrain would be an easy swap into gen 1. I'm pretty sure, a couple of years down the line, someone will do it!

Many of these things are going to go to the junk yard because of accidents, so I'm sure someone will try eventually.

We know it's going to happen though. I'm suspecting this might actually be an expensive swap.

Second gen 86 to have 4 hp more than BRZ
Swapping a 17 engine in a 13 is already not trivial, the 2.4 swap will probably be more involved still. I’m thinking ECU mostly, not many modern cars tolerate having a foreign Ecu very well, it needs to play well with the other computers. Might be easier to swap the bottom end if the heads swap over.

Considering that the FA24D has a larger bore (86mm to 94mm) for the same stroke (86 mm), I don't see how the heads can be swapped. Had they increased the stroke while maintaining the bore, might have been possible.

I was thinking the whole powertrain & drivetrain, including electricals. If all the mounts are same, of can be easily modified using adapters, I don't see why not
