I think the point is was there something specific about the RS3 that you didn't like, even if it did perform better on track then the MPSS. I am going to SX2s after my RS3s die because they seem to be a good learning tire. Decent grip (better then a daily tire but now a 200TW), great life, and good feedback to the driver, and good price. With its new 260TW rating (iirc) I am hoping for it to be a little better then the Bridgestone S-04s that I ran previously and loved. |

Sorry if my question wasn't helpful, I used to want better tires too until I realized I wasn't improving as a driver by going with stickier rubber. |

If those RE71Rs posted on this thread are done, send them to me. I pay for shipping.
We run ours to basically the cord as well. |

Costco sells Re71 and provides Platinum Pact Warranty on those.
https://tires.costco.com/product.asp...1-e049c6c49f0c I know for a fact someone who is on their 2nd set (got a good bit of pro rated discount). Aparently Costco honors the warranty 'ahead' of the manufacturer so the tires are not shipped out to the manufacturer awaiting information before warranty is applied. I have not tried it myself but know others who had with success. Do call and verify before purchase. Think its 12K miles or something. So the wear argument is now moot

Hard to find a Costco that will do tires outside OEM size in my experience though |

It's like tracking on Autozone rotors and using their warranty to get free replacements. |

But I agree with Mike, I wouldn't feel good about 'warrantying' track tires (or rotors), abusing those programs is how they get eliminated and you end up with manufacturers not supporting their product when they really should. |

Some people have been pretty clear how they feel about the 'stones and BFG's. Not just 86ers or people on this forum mind you. |
