I brought mine into the stealership yesterday at noon. I explained my clicking noise from the driver side hub area and for some reason when the car came out of the bay 4 hours later I had a brand new fuel pump (due to the safety bulletin about chirping under the hood). I get in the car and go to drive off *click* there it is again so I reverse it back to my spot and tell them it's still doing it. The tech never took the wheel off or opened the hub or removed the CV boot after it was brought back in for another 2 hours..... After being a mechanic in the military for 8 years I can differentiate a click and a chirp along with difference between the front and rear.... come on Toyota let's get this done.... Here I am day 2 with a new fuel pump awaiting info on about the main problem I came in for.

My dealer told me they couldn't hear anything. Ugh I hate dealing with incompetence.

i'd find a new dealer. something is broken. Ask them to take a new car off the showroom floor and have it make that noise. It won't.

They replaced the axle and said the old was had nothing broken in it. I asked for pictures and they told me it was already wrapped up. It's fixed and doesn't do it. I'm happy. If it starts again ill take it back.

Ohh ok, i thought you were saying they didn't replace the axle because they couldn't replicate the issue. Makes sense now.

@whataboutbob my drivers side has been doing it as well. the sad part is, it was doing it before i put the SC on, just didn't think it was a big deal. now, no warranty. oh well. Driveshaftshop has been looking quite tempting anyway. I'm just waiting to hear on what kind of warranty they have.

I just snagged a complete OEM axle with 36 miles on it on ebay for $100. We'll see if that fixes the noise I'm hearing.

Does anyone have a DIY for replacing the axle?

I spent a little bit of time and the 350z guys have this problem a lot. They have to pull the axle though and grease it where it goes into the diff.
I had this issue on my C6 as well.. They had a TSB with new axle nuts and a another 40 ft lbs of tq on tightening.. I bought a large socket and checked it once a year..
