I think he's planted one those "piss on the seed, and watch it grow super quick" thing.. instead of containing it in a small pot he's only gone and buried a dozen or so in his garden..

Reminds me of a back-in-the-day Army story. We were in this hell hole named Baumholder, Germany, for a 30 day training exercise. This time, we were lucky and the Officers got actual framed housing (like a barracks, but petitioned off rooms).

At the end of one of the buildings they had set up a make your own drinks bar. After some unwinding we turned in. I had just got to sleep (passed out) when I heard gunfire - yep the familiar sound of someone firing a .45 ACP.

Several of us bolted out of our rooms with our .45s and tracked the gunfire down to Lt Bill's room and ask him what the hell was going on? Now keep in mind we all had quite a bit to drink. Lt Bill was cussing at the damn cockroaches in his room and had decided to shoot them! He said shut out the light and when you turn it back on - you will see.

Well, we convinced him to give us his weapon for the night and suggested he just leave his light ON so the cockroaches wouldn't come out.

THE END

Alas, no more "back in the day" stories from Germany for the current crop of troops... Sad...

i've heard from the pest guy's more than once that cockroaches and similar are impossible to get rid of in more congested area's like cities. all the plumbing and such connecting the buildings together like a massive highway network.

if they fumigate one building, the bugs just evacuate to the building next door until it's over, and then move back.

Interesting. Air stuff I suppose a good filter could help. Water pipes IDK they could clog so easily not sure if a filter would be practical.
