Exactly. Like @JesseG said, with all the changes that have to be made to the BRZ to accommodate the battery and all that, it will take away all the things that make the BRZ great in the first place. Of course switching an engine for a battery will completely change any car but you know what I mean lol Im not against the whole electric car movement, but the BRZ is fine the way it is in my opinion. Interested in seeing more sports cars similar to the FRS with an electric powerhouse though.

My exhaust is stock and I can barely hear it lol I might just be deaf, but I guess we kinda have an idea of what itíd be like haha Anyways, thatís something that would bother me. Iíve heard little whines in hybrid cars, but I need an exhaust note or something. Doesnít have to be stupid loud, but I need to know Iím driving a car, not one of those electric car things you get for your kid to ride around in.

Really good points, an all electric 86 would almost need to be a from the ground up new car, new chassis. I dont see Toyota or Subaru doing that. Now a hybrid 86 could be really cool, but keeping weight down and the same handling characteristics would be difficult.

Very true!! The 86 is way too quiet stock. Iím hoping it will sound better after I remove the ďsound tubeĒ on the intake, and put on a catback exhaust. Iím thinking the Perrin or Takeda intake tube and a K&N panel filter will be first.

The new Subaru global platform is specifically designed for electric/hybrid tech and is completely scalable in size. It could be done. I don't think it will but it is totally feasible.
Leads right back to my often repeated comment of "When does it stop being an 86/BRZ in anything but name" though.

Ahhh ok, then it might be easier than I thought. But yeah it most likely wonít happen, for the 86 anyway. I would prefer they refine the current 86. Possibly use the new Subaru global chassis, or the TNG platform. Iím not sure if TNG is set up for RWD though. A stiffer and lighter chassis, a little more power, and the 86/BRZ would be reborn.

Contrary to what the clickbaits would have you think you will never ever see them use a TNG platform or Toyota engine. It is just not feasible based upon the current manufacturing agreement. If they ever did make such a car it would be strictly Toyota (Celica?) and not a next gen 86. If they wanted to go that route they would not keep teaming up with other manufacturers for their sports cars.

I can't find a better sub to post this in so maybe someone here can help me, what kit is this? The filter doesn't look like it came with the kit, but anyone who can help me figure out what supercharger kit this is would be greatly appreciated
