From what I can see it looks like it redlines at 7k, but he is shifting at 8k. Might be a pretty good idea of what we will see on the production car.

Serious question because I see this a lot. Do the video game developers somehow have access to information that we the consumer do not?

Why are we looking at a video game and assuming what we see reflects a car that hasn't been released yet?

I think they had special access to the GT-R and actually helped design the Multi Function Display on it. Don't know if they have a Toyota connection or not.

Totally. Kazunori Yamauchi is a HUGE car fan. Like he said above, Polyphony Digital helped develop the gauges for the R35. I dont think its very many game developers, by Yamauchi has played a huge influence in Japanese car culture. He isnt going to make something up and put it into one of his cars in GT5. What you see is most likely going to function like it would in the real car.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that is how the production car will be exactly, but he does have a Toyota connection. He drove the IS-F in the Nurburgring 24hr races this year and last, and IIRC works in conjunction to deliver the Data logger visualization technology.

How is it old? This is the first time there has been video of the FT86's gauges in GT5. And yes, the driver sucks very much.

Not sure how I feel about that little window. It's somewhat cool but a bit pointless and it's reducing the structure of the pillar. I doubt that'll make the D.O.T cut.

Yeah no sh*t! If they are going to debut a game, at least have someone who can get past the first corner!
