Any of you guys know anyone with a Asphalt or DGM (gray metallic) frs/brz that has a spoiler and wants to swap for a trunk with no spoiler? Buddy of mine just got an frs with no spoiler and wants to find one!

Glad to see there's some activity in my area. I don't use FB, is there another event soon?

Yeah I am trying to liven up the 86 scene in Charlotte so we plan things regularly. Currently, however, I am in Austria on business until October 24th and am unable to plan anything. We are planning on holding a Blue Ridge Parkway drive in the middle of November so I will be sure to provide you with that information once I have it.

That would be great! I went to school at ASU in Boone so I'm very familiar with that section of parkway. I've been craving to take the car up there soon. Might be a bit wet and cold in Novmeber though.

Labor Day weekend, we drove the entire BRP from Cherokee, NC to Afton, VA, then continued up Skyline Drive to the end, at Front Royal, VA.

Checked that off the bucket list

best dealership around Charlotte/Mooresville/Hickory/Winston to go for a warranty claim or is it a lost cause due to my fortune auto coilovers and the situation being the axle/axle nut tick noise?

Subaru South Blvd. in Charlotte is a popular recommendation among Subaru owners in the area. I have personally been there a few times (not for warranty work) and can say that they are a pleasure to deal with. If it comes to it, you may have better luck negotiating with them than with the dealership on Independence Blvd.

Regardless, though, unfortunately I think it will be difficult to get an axle nut via warranty with coilovers on the car. Try reverting back to stock suspension and taking the car in.

Do NOT go to Randy Marion Subaru in Mooresville, they are the worst dealership I've ever had to deal with. I've had success with Subaru Concord, they seem like good people and never gave me any trouble about mods.

Randy Marion was great when I bought my car, but personnel has changed since then.

I've had great experience with the service department at Scott Clark Toyota in Matthews every time. I actually just left there. Had them install the TRD Quickshifter a couple weeks ago. The bolts came loose yesterday and had them fix it this morning. Shifts feel so much tighter and the repair was free!

I appreciate you guys being helpful I will definitely check out Concord and Charlotte, only thing I have let Randy Marion touch is my oil change and the guy look baffled with how low the car was to get into. Being in statesville I'm definitely going to have to travel, thought about going back to stock suspension but I would have to redo my whole alignment but I guess if the axle needs to be redone it would be worth it. Have Yal had this problem? I'm going to regret torque the nut if it's loose and see if that fixes the problem and if so I will probably buy a new nut as well, if not it may be the half shaft itself.

Sorry you had a bad experience at randy marion. That being said I am in no way affiliated with the dealership although I've purchase 3 brand new cars from them with excellent service. I recently had them do a COMP stage 3 Clutch in my BRZ . It was in and out in a day and drives great (3000 miles later). I'd recommend them highly.

One of my best friends used to work there and I will attest to what he said that they have had personnel changes and it used to be better than what it currently is now.
