In the first minute of this, the Nissan design chief basically confirms it will be over 40k.

I think this one is out of my reach fellas.

These companies are out of touch with who buys their crap and what makes them get passed on. Most minor additions to a model will make someone buy it and cost near nothing for a company. Mini, Subaru, Mazda get it, nissan, hyundai never seem to. Sometimes Honda also is kind of dumb as well.

Z has a lot of things missing on it so i have read in the first form of it.
I prefer to not have heater seats. I'd rather extra stuff like that remain options so you can choose to have it or not.

Sounds like it's probably going to be $50k to get 400hp with a LSD before any ADM.

Heated seats are nice for winter....not so much neccessary for any other weather condition though.

Plus if you had cloth seats they dont really need to be heated, but its almost a must with leather.

I guess in Calgary I’d be pretty stoked to have heated seats.

I live in Florida and I love my heated seats. On a nice winter night with the windows down, or when my lower back pain flares up it’s really nice too.

Heated seats are nice for all climates if you have a girlfriend type deal. They like that stuff. If i bought a car without it, all the women I know would look for the button again and be like, "Your new car which is like what $20k+ more than the old one doesnt even have heated seats?"
1. Car detailed perfect when you pick them up
2. Car looks fancy and unique
3. Car has heated seats

that's the formula. That's why the Veloster N is really dumb still Too bro. Love that thing though otherwise. Too vape and Monster beverage'y.

That would suck if the Z car is 50k just to get a decent seat and a 800 dollar LSD. that's how Nissan rolls still though. Keepin it real like it's 1999.

IF you lived here you'd WANT heated seats, or cloth.

When its freezing in your car with the leather seats, the butt warmers are awesome.

Maybe not so much with the twins since the leather/alcantara seats....only the bolsters and headrest are actually leather lined....the seating part is alcantara which is kinda sorta like cloth?

Why wouldn't it be though? They'd be silly to make basically their version of the supra 3.0 with a manual transmission and then sell it for $15k less.. They'll definitely be cheaper, probably by a solid amount. But anyone who thought they'd be under $40k, let alone $35k, was high.

I thought 35k was unreasonably cheap, but that's what all the journos were saying is possible, so I held out some small hope until recently. I thought maaaybe I could stretch the budget if it comes in that cheap and good.

That hope is all gone now though. It looks like the base, reduced power, no LSD version will still be at least a hair over 40k. Still, maybe a good value for people shopping in that price range but this does not include me.

For a dude who claims that he has plenty of money for either a 35k car or a 75k car, you complain an awful lot about how much things cost.

Not even going to dispute the ridiculous claims you are making about the "ladies" and what they are looking for in a car, but if you truly believe that, I highly suggest you get one of these:

I don’t understand a lot about Long Island, but from I’m led to believe, he is very on brand.

Once you drive the 400hp Z, are you really going to choose a +200hp NA? It’s not going to happen. I love my RSX-S 200hp 8k RPM 6spd sonofbitch but it’s not even close to my Supra.

Will the twins be a more drivers car than the Z? Yes! Do you drive your twins to the limit 100% of the time on the street? More like 0% on the street. Same with the Z, normal every day enthusiast will not drive the Z to the limits on the street. Thats why even with the same old trash chassis, the new Z will be a god sports car for the masses.

If you think the Z will have great interior, you better think again. It’s just a rehash interior.

How do you think nissan is able to sell you a 400hp Z for $35k MSRP? It’s a reskin 370z with Q50 engine and it continues to use a maxima chassis. Why does the Supra cost $20k more? The chassis is specifically designed for a sports car. The interior is premium. My point is you get what you paid for.

The twins in the other hand, will be a great car. Do you ever wonder why people don’t stick with the twins for too long? It needs more power and by adding force induction, reliability is out the door. You can buy a Reliable Z with the cost of adding a turbo/supercharger kit to the twins.

If you want power get the Z if it’s in your budget. If you want to live in nostalgia about NA and a manual car, get the twins.

With your attitude they will for sure be extinct. This isn’t a nostalgia thing, I don’t buy a manual to remember my childhood. I buy them because they are way more fun. The days of the manual absolutely are NOT over. Just about every auto maker is still producing them. Ford, Honda, Chevy, Toyota, Jeep, Subaru, Nissan, BMW, VW, Porsche and even Cadillac.

Have you driven a Twin because you can’t compare an RSX Type-S to a Twin. I’ve driven Twins, Porsche’s, BMW’s, the Z cars, an RSX Type-S, S2000’s, Integra Type-R, 1300HP Ford GT and many more. The Twins, S2000 and ITR were the most memorable to me. The Z car is by far my least memorable. Not everyone wants to drive a numb feeling car simply because it’s fast in a straight line.
