Hi Weeder,

Were there any issue with your Cosworth Supercharged FRS? Would you go for the same SC in your new car? If not, any reason why?

I am planning to purchase a reliable positive displacement supercharger kit in the BRZ so just want to know more about from actual user.

Thanks!

With the supercharger itself, no not at all. I did tweak the tune but otherwise it was great. If I were to do another supercharger I probably would go with Cosworth again. The only downside is it's pretty expensive so I have to save for a while :/

Try checking out the Cosworth owners page I made. The other guys can also give you their experiences.

I do believe the Edelbrock and Harrop are good kits too, but I'm just partial to Cosworth since they did extensive R&D. Not that the others hadn't, I just felt it was a great kit. As well, I'm also into the positive displacement kits since they look relatively cool.

Do they still sell the SC kit? I cannot find it in their homepage anymore (www.cosworth.com). Better to hurry, it looks that they just clear the available stock.

They still sell it. Depending upon country, you can find it from RallySport Direct, FT86SpeedFactory, Fensport, Part-box and a few others.

I've been meaning to do that. But all I have is my phone, which I feel won't capture the greatness of the exhaust sound. But I can try and do it this week!

as for a dyno, haha, I don't think I'm gonna do that anytime soon.

Got a few things installed. STI "Flex" Tower Brace & Radium master cylinder brace.

STI Brace!

Funny story with this part is, I ordered it quite a few weeks ago, but FT86SpeedFactory sent the wrong part. Instead they sent the WRX version. They promptly sent me a replacement with a return label. However, they messed the order up again. This time it was the STI trailing arms! Emailed them and they apologized and sent me the correct part. Although they messed the order up, they were prompt to respond to emails and were very supportive, so no hard feels at all. I'd assume it was anomaly for sure given how many things I've ordered from them over the years.

Radium MCB

I noticed a difference, especially when braking hard. I had the Perrin version on my FRS before I traded it in and felt it helped, too. During normal DD, you probably would forget that it's there.
