New 8" Alpine fill the stock opening?

Hey guys, do y'all know if the new Alpine will fill the stock opening? It is a large HU. What do y'all think?

The 928hd is still a 2din standard slot. I don't think it will fill the gap but the overside screen face sticking out with extra 1" would help to cover the gap and it make it look best for this car. I like this new 8" a lot right now. $1200 on ebay. Check out clips in youtube to see the new 8" superior over the 7" size. That extra inch is huge difference
