Art/ Artists?

Anyone in here do any type of art? Sculpting, Painting, Graphic Design, 3D art/ animation etc?

I am an amateur at best, but I have fun with it. Here are a few things I have done:

And I am currently working on this one. It is the first Oil Painting I have ever attempted. It is a lot more time consuming because of the drying times, and because I just suck at this in general. My schedule permits maybe 2 paintings etc a year unfortunately.

I am going to try and make some vinyl figures soon as well.

Here's a link to an art show I put on with my friends. Me and my girlfriend did the b/w pieces. We are looking for a permanent residence in San Diego to hold shows.

Those are really cool Jack. I like how different everyone's art can be, but is still relevant.

Great thread!

We started out in water colors and then clay. Now we stick with shirts and pins -- Art you can wear.

I have been using photoshop for nearly 20 years. Went to school for Graphic Design, probably should have gone for Illustration. Here's a sketch I did 10+ years ago, I used to love doing pen and ink sketches of mechanical human figures. This one was scanned into PS where I only modified the contrast to pull out some textural detail of the paper. Man this brings back memories...

I learned a few things about oil painting though, and I know not to use the canvas I used for the next one. I will be going to the tablet/ boards next time.

Anyway the picture is mostly laid out now and I can start detailing it. I am always happy to get tips on how to execute details on this
