Yeah the fed ex guy at the depot said he put in notes that the box was damaged and told me to call fed ex customer support if there were any issues. Went through blackhawkjapan their prices were a bit better and i liked the ability to pick the courier rather than what japanparts lists on their site that courier choice was up to them.

Has anybody tried Alcantara on the shifter and door trim?

I found this via AliExpress. The color looks pretty close to the OE trim panel on the dash.

Edit: not much info on them so I'll be the guinea pig. Ordered the shift , door handle, and inner knee pad trim.

Interested to hear your feedback on those. I did see em... but didn't know how legit they were.

It was ~5 hours work for me, since I did the first time. Someone with better tools and experience can do in 3 hours. No cutting or drilling involved but radiator needed a lot of wiggling mostly because of the ac pipes were getting in the way with oil cooler connectors. My work was maybe a little easier since I didn't have the factory airbox and a little harder since I had to remove the OEM oil cooler.

Thanks for the info. I'm debating to get that or stay w FXT (TB) oil cooler.

Will do.

I've wanted carbon trim for a while, but these are cheap enough to explore.

The steering trim and AC vents are getting black paint.

CF have been done so many times, don’t see much alcantara, so I think it’ll be unique and looks cool.

I had the similar oil cooler. And it was just fine for daily driving with JRSC. But for track, it is not enough.

Then, I would stick with FXT cooler for daily driving.

Agreed.

I also ordered gas hood struts and a few sets of 86 valve Stem caps in silver and black.

Oh it's a good way here too. But at the end of the day, if I get cited for it, I'll pay it. I have more than just cosmetic reasons for having it dark.
