Did vex do the install too? My buddy has an evo x down there (red with carbon trunk and hood and gold wheels) but its been down there for a while now and I'm thinking it might be too close to summer if the wait times are this long.

@Howardwei and I have those instructions but it is vague on what to do to install the fuel pump assembly into the bucket. it is not anywhere near clipping in together.

we attached a photo with some circles to get a better idea, sorry for the poor phone editing skills lol

Also we have no idea what the big ring is for, I'm assuming it's a spacer that goes between that goes between the lip and the fuel pump assembly.

The clips will not clip and that is fine. It was designed to not clip and not need any clamps holding it down. When you push down the whole canister into the tank, it will be steady.

Remember, the OEM design holds the FP inside the canister by the force applied on the clamps. FBM design holds the pump in place with the billet piece on the bottom.

The large metal ring goes all the way onto the top of the top canister cover on the bottom part of it. (see pic below). Note and make sure the rubber gasket that usually sits on the mentioned top cover needs to be removed for this. Also, the small rubber o ring on the metal ring needs to face up to the sky.

Good luck and let me know if you need anything else.

Sorry if it's been asked but I couldn't find

I think it will be fine. The only issues might be in stop and go traffic where the slim fans can't push enough air through the radiator and A/C consdensor, but all other times you should be fine.
