I have a hard time looking at this car without a drop.

Looks good, need photos not from a potato to verify.

Man it's this gay forum pic restriction. I have to drop the size by 4x. A drop as in lowered? If so I haven't done anything yet besides a drop in filter. Still trying to kill the stock tires.
I'll get better pics and not take em on the fly...also I have an album with some pics non gold rims.

Not really feeling the gold, but if it works for you, kudos. I personally love the black rims.

Did you use the vintage gold or the metallizer over black?

I do too but being an STi fan I love the trademark colors too. The beauty of plastidip. I can have the best of both world's when I want.

That is gold metallizer. Honestly i don't know if there is a difference. I couldn't find this elusive vintage crap anywhere online. Either way it is gold on one tiny layer of black. I also bought white because I kind of wanted to see what white and gold would look like. Maybe I will try next round.

To me, gold rims are like gold teeth. You can spend a lot of money on gold teeth and still look pretty trashy.

But if you like them, that's what matters.

Host the images at imgur or somewhere else.

I like the stock black better, which pairs better with the black aero bits. But if you really insisted on coloring it, I think bronze would have looked better.

That's an odd analogy considering what gold teeth are and who buys them...not the same demographic. Gold rims are for the Subaru trademark color combo. I do like it. I also like black. It is mostly a test to see how it looks. I like it. Either color looks great imo.
Thanks for the feedback

Step 1: Plastidip a basecoat.
Step 2: Rattlecan the basecoat with Grimmspeed Gold paint (closest legit match to STi gold wheels)
