on a turbo brz pressure happens at the turbo.. freer flowing turbo-back exhaust setups yield great results. Stock headerback isn't the freest of flowing. Rear front pipe helps N/A with lower-mid powerband but turbo obv different. Catted and resonated or straight pipe, your flavor. 3" TBE will be throaty, deep and louder than 2.5" comparable setups, so resonators are advised

gl!

soooo I have confused myself over the last few weeks with exhausts...

I am installing Borla UEL headers with the Borla S-type Catback exhaust... and i picked up a one-piece PV racing overpipe.

By eyeing the general geometry of seeing the catback go from the tail pipes to the radio, does this INCLUDE the front pipe?? i dont see how theres room for another pipe there before the overpipe. Am i just off my eyeing game?

When i look up front pipes, they look to be like 3-4 feet long?

The front pipe is a separate piece.

I'd suggest checking this out for more info

That's exactly what I needed to see. So then how does everyone feel about upgrading headers/overpipe and catback, but not the front pipe immediately? Will it be a huge bottle neck that will take some adjusting to? Or should I get the front pipe right away?

set up to install:
Borla UEL headers
PV Racing Overpipe
<stock Front pipe>
Borla stainless steel catback exhaust

(existing: Perrin Inlet Hose, de-snorked intake)

Ace header, hks double res fp, CSG MXP catback. Best combination for maximum gains.
Although any aftermarket catless FP and catback should make same gains, NA atleast.

But,
In my opinion the best sounding. Sounds like a deeper more refined stock sound. Not ricey at all, no rasp or drone either. Just good clean crisp deeper exhaust note. And it is barely louder then stock. People who don’t know this platform ride in my car cant tell I have an aftarmarket exhaust unless I rev out. Under 4K it’s pretty mellow. But wakes up when pushing it.

The front pipe does very little for performance but it does a lot to manage sound levels.

If you were chasing every last HP then change it, but the cost/HP ratio is very low.
